I have to spend a few days in Naples Florida in a few weeks. It looks as though there is a Ritz Carlton there, but I thought I would ask to see if anyone has any thoughts or opinions before I go. Are there any other options? or is that the place to stay there. Also, if you have any tips on which rooms to book or where to eat it would make things much easier. Any help would be a tremendous assistance for me.
My wife and I recently spent time in Naples, and highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort at Vanderbilt Beach. It has a related property offering golf and provides a free shuttle between the facilities. Our group enjoyed dinner at Lemonia at the Golf Resort ( Tuscan fare), but we were pleased to be staying at the Beach Resort. The short ride for golf is a small hurdle. The Beach Resort offers a variety of informal dining options, two pools, direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and its lengthy beach, and typical, luxurious Ritz Carlton amenities. We ate at the beachside Gumbo Limbo, the Poolside Cafe and the informal Terrace- all offer interesting items in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We did not try the highly rated Grill Room, but those who did spoke of a memorable but expensive dining option. Nearly all hotel rooms present a water view, but the "u" shaped building allows best views of the beach and sunsets from "interior" rooms if located on the north or east side of the structure. We thoroughly enjoyed our vist and the convenience of having all amenities located at one facility. A top rated hotel and resort- well deserved based on our visit.
