Top Hotels Resorts in Africa near the Mediterranean

Been trying to do some research on resorts in Africa either on or near the Mediterranean. We plan to spend a few days on land after a cruise there and are looking for ideas of places to stay that either has interesting sights nearby or is luxurious enough where we won't want to leave. Either way, if you know of any good places to stay in that part of Africa, please let me know!

Hotel Dar Cherait in Tunisia might be one option. The architecture is very ornate and it sits in an oasis between the Sahara and the Mediterranean. The rates are reasonable and the landscapes are breathtaking.
