Some good news for US residents. If you traveled overseas between 1996 and 2006 and used a Visa or MasterCard for any foreign transactions or ATM withdrawls, you are entitled to receive part of the $336 million Currency Conversion Fee settlement awarded to consumers for improper disclosure of foreign exchange fees during that time.
You can either provide proof of your transactions and get a percentage of the transactions (1%-3%) refunded to you, or you can do what most people are doing, and just fill out a simple online form to make a quick $25.
The ability to claim the refund expires at the end of May, so you should visit the official CCF site as soon as possible.
If you just want the $25, go directly to the Easy Claim Form. Or just go the main site and click on "Claim Form" and then click on "I do not have a Refund ID." Then choose "Option 1."
By the way this is not a scam. The CCF settlement is well documented.
