Anyone know of any charming restaurants in Montreal that they would recommend? Let me know if you have any suggestions!

I live in Montreal and I love Santropol - it is a throwback to the 60's with its indoor furnishings but try to sit outside in the backyard - amazing salads and sandwiches....also my two favorite brunch/breakfast places are Beauty's and Orange on Decarie blvd but be prepared to wait in lines for all.

These are off the beaten track for visitors (except perhaps Beauty's)...if u want the restaurant every foodie who visits goes to it is Le Pied de Cochon (I think I went once about 5 years ago)

Two more: you must try true Lebanese food rarely seen outside of the middle east and for that I recommend either Daou or La Sirene of which there are two locations and I prefer the one on Dresden Ave in TMR and I have been to both. All are easily googled

I recall going to a very charming restaurant in the old section of Montreal called Les Remparts. Very charming and we were very impressed by the cuisine. I'll try to dig up some photos next week if I get a chance.

Edit: It seems to have changed hands, or at least changed names since then. So, I can't promise that it's as good anymore. sorry!
