    I'm looking for a hip, happening beautiful boutique hotel for my trip to New York in November. Can anyone suggest a place that won't break the bank but provides a great experience?

    I'm sure you'll have a wonderful experience at either of them.

    Alice, I've stayed at The Bowery and cannot recommend it enough.

    I would check out something new- the Standard Hotel.

    I'd suggest trying the Algonquin Hotel:

    It's been around for a long, long time but it's just filled with history, charm and a great location.
