Here's a good tip if you're ever trying to get into the Louvre and want to avoid the long lines. Skip the pyramid and head straight for the Porte de Lions gate. It's towards the South West corner of the Louvre, but you'll most likely need the following map to find it

Most tourists don't seem to know about this entrance, so the lines are notably shorter. Cheers!

This is so true. I exited the museum through this entrance last time, and I was amazed to see there was no line there, even when there is a ticket office to buy entry tickets. You can also use your museum pass at this entrance.

Go on Wednesday and Friday evenings. You can get in at a reduced rate and the museum is open until 10. You'll also avoid crowds this way.

To the museums in paris ,go in october till april.less tourist crowd.
and you will get to meet locals too.
Paris is more fun in winter.
