Hello!
I'm planning a trip to Copenhagen and Stockholm in a few weeks.
I was interested in driving from Copenhagen to Stockholm (just 1 way)... has anyone done that drive?
Is it scenic? Do you know of any recommended 1 night stops on the way?Thank you,

The last time I was in Sweden was just before they had completed the bridge from Copenhagen to Malmo. However - as I remember it - the best way to drive from Copenhagen to Stockholm is to cross the bridge and then continue northeast through Malmo, Helsingborg, Ljungby, Vamamo, Jonkoping, Mjolby, Norkopping, Sodertalje and up to Stockholm.
Yes, it is scenic. But it's a long drive. I'd recommend staying overnight in Jonkoping or Mjolby to break up the trip.

I've taken the train between Copenhagen and Malmö and it takes only a few minutes over the bridge and is very frequent. I thought that was pretty scenic in and of itself. And, I would think taking the train the entire way would be the fastest and most scenic way to do the trip.
I believe that trains between Malmö and Stockholm run every two hours and the trip should only take about four or five hours. Though, it certainly doesn't give you the ability to pull over at any café you pass along the way.
