The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica

    Has anyone stayed at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, California? It's a luxury boutique hotel located right near the beach. I was reading their website (http://www.thehuntleyhotel.com) and their suites are so beautiful and have views of Los Angeles and the ocean. Also, I've heard amazing things about their rooftop restaurant The Penthouse.

    I'm thinking of booking a stay. Thoughts?

    i would actually suggest shutters as an alternative. right on the beach and lovely, in a shabby chic sort of way....

    As a local, I would recommend the rooftop at The Huntley. Great food, nice views, nice vibes.

    Please note, however, that The Huntley is NOT right on the beach. It occupies a spot 1 block away from Ocean Avenue (which runs along an ocean cliff, itself another 5 minutes walking down towards Santa Monica Beach).

    A friend of mine stayed there last year and she loved it. I've only seen the pictures but it looks really beautiful.
