    My favourite French restaurant in Japan is Misogui-gawa, on Pontocho overlooking Kyoto's Kamo River. The Chef, Teruo Inoue prepares exquisite dishes that vary daily as well as with the seasons. Wines are naturally well-chosen with some excellent wines by the glass. Don't forget to buy some of the finest chocoilates you have ever tasted (not avaialble in the summer months) on your way out.
